Chile: Supermarket employee strike lingers for over 40 days
News Not vetted story Vetted story Curico, Chile - 09 October 2013For over forty days, workers of the Montserrat supermarket, in Chile, are on strike for higher salaries and better working conditions.
The disgruntled employees set up camp on the banks of the Mapocho river, close to Pio Nono Bridge, and protested in the streets of Santiago to express their demands.
They live in terrible conditions, without toilets or running water.
